Tech Mahindra to roll out Covid vaccination for employees, families

New Delhi: Digital transformation leader Tech Mahindra has announced to roll out a COVID-19 vaccination drive for its associates and dependent family members. 

Tech Mahindra has partnered with Fortis Healthcare to initiate the first phase of the drive to be held in Delhi-NCR, starting from April 15, the company said in a statement.

The company will cover the cost of vaccination for all its associates and further plans to extend the benefit to its third-party employees as well.

Fitbit replacing some Sense smartwatches after bug hits ECG tool

New Delhi: Wearable brand Fitbit has offered replacements to some users of its Sense smartwatch after it discovered a bug in the electrocardiogram (ECG) feature that affected the readings, the media reported on Friday.

The company has sent emails to the affected users warning that the devices are affected by an unspecified "hardware issue".

Fitbit that has been acquired by Google for $2.1 billion introduced the ECG feature in the $329.95 Sense smartwatch in October that reads heart rhythm for conditions like atrial fibrillation (AFib).

Apple Fitness+ to come in iOS 14.3 and watchOS 7.2: Report

New Delhi: Apple has announced that its new Fitness+ service would launch before the end of the year, and now a new report has claimed that the feature will be added to iOS 14.3 and watchOS 7.2.

As noted on the MacRumors fora, the current watchOS 7.2 beta that was released this morning has a splash screen with what's new, and Apple Fitness+ is listed as one of the features.

iOS 14.3 beta also had an unfinished mention of Apple Fitness+ in the Analytics portion of the Privacy settings.

IIT Madras develops online game to create Covid awareness

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) on Monday said its researchers have developed a digital game 'IITM Covid Game' to create awareness about Covid-19 virus among the general public, particularly children.

This game is browser-based and can be played on any device including Personal Computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones, among others.

Based on initial prototyping and feedback from different audiences, the students team translated the game to several Indian regional languages to improve its reach.
