Lightstorm Creates Cognitive NOC Digital Twin with Nokia, Set for GA Launch in Coming Months #MWC25
Lightstorm has created a Cognitive Network Operations Center Digital Twin, leveraging Nokia’s network automation solutions to transform the way telcos and service providers manage and optimize their networks. The platform is set to launch in the coming months, enhancing network visibility, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency.
Lightstorm partnered with Nokia to integrate Network Services Platform (NSP) and Nokia Digital Operations software including Network Assurance Center, Unified Inventory and provisioning capabilities to build a comprehensive real-time monitoring and automation framework. The Digital Twin utilizes Meta’s Llama 3.X to power AI-driven insights, enabling automated fault detection, analysis and resolution and intelligent troubleshooting, ensuring seamless and highly responsive network operations.
Nokia Network Services Platform (NSP) accelerates service fulfilment and simplifies network management, assurance and optimization. These capabilities maximize the agility, efficiency and reliability of IP and optical networks, ensuring a synchronized and holistic view of Lightstorm’s network operations. The Nokia Network Assurance Center provides real-time service assurance with proactive alerts for rapid issue resolution. The Unified Inventory acts as a single source of truth, consolidating critical network data to enhance decision-making and resource optimization. Together, these components create an intelligent, self-optimizing system that reduces operational complexities, improves fault management, and enhances overall service reliability.
“By collaborating with Nokia and its data source from diverse deployed Nokia systems, we have developed a next-generation AI-powered platform that redefines network operations,” said Lalit Chowdhary, Chief Technology and Information Officer, at Lightstorm. “This Digital Twin will significantly enhance the customer experience by enabling proactive service assurance, reducing downtime, and improving operational agility and reducing dependency on human knowledge.”
“We’re excited to announce a major milestone in our partnership with Lightstorm” said Arvind Khurana, Head of Cloud & Network Services for India, at Nokia. “We’ve powered Lightstorm’s AI-driven network automation journey, and with the Nokia Digital Operations suite along with IP NMS, this Digital Twin sets a new benchmark for operational intelligence and efficiency in network management.”
As AI and automation reshape the telecommunications landscape, Lightstorm’s Digital Twin places service providers at the forefront of the AI era, offering unparalleled agility, reliability, and performance in network operations.
