Jio launches affordable VR Headsets JioDive

Jio has announced JioDive, its Virtual Reality headset priced at INR 1,299. The device is available on JioMart and lets Jio users watch TATA IPL on JioCinema in an immersive 360-degree view on a 100-inch virtual screen.

The VR headset is compatible with both Android — Android 9 and above — and iOS devices — iOS 15 and above — with screen sizes between 4.7and 6.7-inches. The phone must have a gyroscope and an accelerometer.

The users need to download the JioImmerse app which is available only to Jio users. It also allows users to check the compatibility of their device with Jio Dive.

The company recommends one GB or more free space in the user’s phone for an optimal and seamless experience.

JioDive, apart from providing an immersive 360-degree view of IPL, also allows users to enjoy virtual reality content and gaming on a large screen. However, to use the JioImmerse app users must be connected to a Jio 4G, 5G, or JioFiber network.
