The UAVs will enable real-time monitoring of communication frequencies, which is critical for managing spectrum resources, especially in high-demand areas like telecommunications and civil aviation. Additionally, they will be able to enhance security by allowing defence and homeland security sectors to conduct surveillance and detect unauthorized spectrum activities. By deploying drones for spectrum analysis, organizations can operate efficiently in challenging environments, realizing significant time and cost savings compared to traditional spectrum monitoring methods. As per the recent EY – FICCI report titled, “Making India the drone hub of the world”, the drone and its components industry can significantly strengthen India’s manufacturing potential to US$23 billion approximately by 2030.
