The growing strategic partnership between Finland and India in advanced technologies was highlighted at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 during a session on building sovereign deep-tech capabilities for a resilient future.

Discussions focused on collaboration in artificial intelligence, space technologies, quantum computing, and next-generation digital networks. Speakers noted that Finland’s strengths in research and high-performance computing, combined with India’s scale, talent, and application ecosystem, create strong potential for co-innovation and global deployment of deep-tech solutions.

Petteri Orpo stressed the importance of access to supercomputing capacity and strong public–private cooperation to advance AI research and sustainable development. He said partnerships can accelerate circular economy solutions, climate action, and overall societal well-being.

Timo Harakka highlighted the shared vision of trusted, human-centric and ethical technology, noting that resilience and competitiveness grow through open standards, secure infrastructure, and international collaboration.

Participants from government, research, and industry — including Infosys and Nokia — emphasized public–private partnerships, open innovation, and secure digital ecosystems to translate research into real-world impact.

The session reflected a shared commitment to building resilient, sustainable, and human-centric technological progress through global cooperation.
