GIS Day was established in 1999 by Esri, a leading Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions provider. This year the GIS Day is being observed on 20th November 2024 with the theme how geographic information system (GIS) technology has changed the way we understand, navigate, and shape our world. Together, human creativity and technology help us discover hidden trends, spur sustainable growth, and make smarter decisions.

Every year, GIS Day offers a chance to celebrate this transformative technology, shedding light on its role in creating smarter cities, fostering environmental stewardship, and revolutionizing industries.
