Nvidia launches GeForce RTX 4070

New Delhi — Nvidia launched its highly anticipated mid-range graphics card model from the latest RTX 4000 series of GPUs, the GeForce RTX 4070 which is built on its Ada Lovelace graphics processing unit microarchitecture.

According to a Gizmochina report, the new card supports DLSS 3.0 along with dual AV1 video encoders which helps in delivering up to 20 per cent better performance on popular video editing and live streaming apps like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, OBS, and Jianying in terms of video export speeds.

GeForce RTX 4070 boasts a higher VRAM capacity than its predecessor, utilizing GDDR6X RAM and 5,888 CUDA cores. The GeForce RTX 4070 is up to 1.7 times faster than the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, while also being 23 per cent more power efficient.

The company claims the new card will enable one to play hefty modern game titles — such as Plague Tale: Requiem, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide — at 1440p resolution at over 100 frames per second.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 is priced at US$ 599 in the US for the Founders Edition, while the card costs INR 62,000. It will go on sale on April 13 across the globe.
