“We congratulate ISRO and the entire team behind the successful launch of GSLV-F18 and the precise deployment of NVS-03 into its intended orbit. This is a significant achievement for India’s space programme and a particularly important milestone for NavIC, as the satellite strengthens the constellation after a prolonged gap. It will enhance the reliability of India’s indigenous navigation system, reinforce strategic autonomy and reduce our dependence on foreign navigation systems, particularly for critical defence, maritime security and civilian applications.
Equally encouraging is the significant contribution of private industry to India’s space missions. As highlighted by the ISRO Chairman, nearly 80% of the launch vehicle budget is channelled into industry, reflecting the growing role of private players in our space programme. This collaboration must expand further, enabling Indian companies to contribute across satellite manufacturing, navigation technologies, components and downstream applications. Stronger public-private partnerships will be instrumental in driving innovation and building a self-reliant, globally competitive Indian space ecosystem. We keenly await NVS 03 deployment in its final orbit in the next few days.”
