WhatsApp Introduces Message Editing in Windows Beta
Messaging platform WhatsApp is making strides by introducing a noteworthy feature in its Windows beta version—a message editing functionality.
According to a report from WABetaInfo, beta users now have access to an “edit” action embedded within the message menu. This new addition empowers them to modify their text messages, providing a welcome opportunity for refinement.
“…if you want to find out if this feature is available for your account, you will need to test this feature with a recently sent message. In addition, it is currently not possible to edit a message that has been sent from a different device. Note that this may be a wider rollout, so some users on certain previous updates may be able to get the same feature starting today,” the report read.
Nonetheless, there are certain limitations to consider. Users are only granted a window of 15 minutes after sending a message to perform edits.
By extending this novel functionality, WhatsApp aims to enhance the user experience and foster seamless communication.
