Suhora Technologies was among the Indian space startups that participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent interaction with companies from the country’s growing private space ecosystem.

The interaction highlighted the expanding role of private enterprises in India’s space sector and the government’s continued engagement with startups working on new-generation space technologies and applications.

Commenting on the interaction, Krishanu Acharya, Co-Founder and CEO of Suhora Technologies, said it was an honour for the company to be part of the engagement with the Prime Minister.

“His continued engagement with India’s space startups is a powerful reminder of how far the private space ecosystem has come, and how much further it can go,” Acharya said.

He added that the interaction provided validation for Suhora Technologies’ work in satellite data and geospatial intelligence, with the company focused on developing solutions for sectors including agriculture, infrastructure and disaster preparedness.

“We will keep pushing on solutions that matter for agriculture, infrastructure, and disaster preparedness from India while building for the global market,” Acharya said.

Suhora Technologies also expressed appreciation for the government’s continued support to the private space sector, saying it remains committed to contributing to India’s emergence as a global hub for space technology.

The interaction comes as India’s private space ecosystem continues to expand, with startups increasingly developing capabilities across satellite technology, launch services, Earth observation, geospatial intelligence and other space-based applications.
